Here are some more pictures of Shifnal Carnival, this time taken in June 1987.
I had a personal involvement that year in that my elder son, Tom, dressed up as a knight to march with Shifnal Cubs.
It's interesting to note all the changes to shops and businesses in the town.
In Victoria Road you can see the Esso filling station, Romanza Greek Restaurant, Changes Dress Agency and the Union pub, which is now Jaspers.
Also, the late Ray Turnock is pictured leading the parade past the Halifax Building Society.
In Market Place you can see Wrekin Office Equipment, Boos and the Jerningham Arms - now all gone.
