Clun, in south Shropshire, lies in a designated area of outstanding natural beauty close to the Welsh border.
It is described as one of the 'quietest places under the sun' by A E Housman in A Shropshire Lad.
The town is noted for the Clun Green Man Festival, which attracts thousands of visitors every year and is featured in this gallery of pictures.
It also has a stone packhorse bridge which is still used by motor vehicles.
