Lake Vyrnwy, the subject of this collection of pictures, is set amid the Berwyn Mountains on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park in Wales.
It is a man-made reservoir created to supply the ever-expanding city of Liverpool with clean drinking water.
The dam - completed in 1888 - was the first large masonry dam to be built in Britain.
The area surrounding the lake is designated as a national nature reserve, a Site of Special Scientific Interest, a Special Protection Area and a Special Area of Conservation.
