Call of the cuckoo in lovely Ashes Hollow
Bright sunshine and wonderful views - this was my visit to Ashes Hollow, near Little Stretton.
I followed a winding track up the side of the valley to get this shot, which shows Ragleth stretching across the horizon.
Beneath me were some sheep ambling along the footpath next to the Quinny Brook.
There were very few people about, and all I could hear was the occasional call of a cuckoo and the sound of water tumbling over rocks.
Ashes Hollow is so much more peaceful than nearby Carding Mill Valley, and it has become one of my favourite places to visit.
What a great way to spend a few hours.
