Clun Castle rises above the early morning mist, Shropshire.

Lovely Clun with wisps of morning mist clinging to the fields beyond the castle. I like the way that mist rolls down the castle mound as early sunlight floods in, picking out the medieval ruins. In the bottom lefthand corner is the tower of St George’s, where playwright John Osborne is buried alongside his wife in the churchyard. This was an early alarm call for me, but a magical start to the day.
