Carpet of spring flowers at Shipton
Spring is on the way - and here's a carpet of flowers in the churchyard at Shipton, near Much Wenlock.

The snowdrops and winter aconites at St James' are always a lovely sight and well worth a visit.
If you decide to stop by, have a look inside the church for the memorial to the so-called Mayflower Children.
They were born at nearby Larden Hall - now demolished - and were the innocent victims of a family scandal.
The four youngsters were banished to America on board the Mayflower with the Pilgrim Fathers in 1620.
Sadly, only one of them survived the harsh voyage and the bitter winter that followed.
