Brown Clee rises above a sea of glorious gold
Here's a field of bright gold beneath Brown Clee, which is the highest hill in Shropshire.

I love the sweeping views of the Corvedale that open up along the Much Wenlock to Craven Arms road, so I just had to pull over when I was passing earlier this week.
Some scenes absolutely demand to be photographed!
The legacy of industry is still to be seen on the summit of Brown Clee, which was once the site of the highest coalfield in England.
At one time quarrying formed the main income of the area, and people would walk from as far afield as Bridgnorth and Ludlow to put in a gruelling day’s work before heading back home again.
