Reaching for the stars on Brown Clee
What a sight - the Northern Lights dance over the mining remains on the summit of Brown Clee.

I was up there for seven hours earlier this month as I watched the spectacular display into the early hours of the morning.
I thought last May’s aurora event couldn’t be equalled - or even surpassed - but I couldn't have been more wrong.
It was a very cold night, and as I started to pack up I noticed that frost had begun to form on my camera bag.
Then it was a long walk back down the hill, accompanied only by the sound of my footsteps and the occasional call of a tawny owl.
