They're here - the first copies of a new edition of A Shropshire Lad have finally arrived!

Fresh chapter opens for Housman classic

It was an absolute pleasure to provide the images for this photographic version of A E Housman’s lyrical English poem, which goes on sale next week.

A Shropshire Lad is regarded with great affection, as I discovered while out and about taking the pictures.

People often stopped to ask me what I was working on, and when I told them they would start quoting Housman’s words back to me.

This edition  marks the 50th anniversary of the Housman Society and is published by Merlin Unwin Books of Ludlow.

It costs £20 (hardback) and will be available in all good bookshops as well as from the publisher and through this website.
