Perfect spot to capture view of Ludlow Castle
I have always said that Whitcliffe Common is my favourite spot for photographing Ludlow Castle.

However, I found a new contender last year when I walked down Halton Lane and came across this view.
I just knew it would look perfect in springtime, with clouds of cow parsley filling the verges.
So I headed out the other evening to see if my vision would come to life – and it absolutely did!
Ludlow Castle stands on an imposing high point overlooking the River Teme and was a crucial strategic stronghold for control of the Welsh Borders during the Middle Ages
Today, it is recognised as one of the finest medieval ruins in England.
