Dusting of snow at sunrise in Stretton Hills
There's no way I was going to pass up the chance to make the most of the sunshine we had at the weekend.

I was out of the house first thing and 40 minutes later I was making my way along the ridge of the Lawley on what was a dark and decidedly chilly walk.
Just before sunrise I found this view, looking across towards Caer Caradoc and the Long Mynd.
There was a scattering of snow on the hills, with the early sun casting a warm, pinkish glow.
If you look carefully you can see Church Stretton nestled beneath the Long Mynd, with Burway Hill on the horizon to the right.
This wasn’t a shot I had in mind when I set out but, as so often happens, it’s the pictures you don’t plan for that turn out the best.
