Peace and quiet beneath Burrow Hill
How tranquil is this - the village of Hopesay, near Craven Arms, nestled beneath the slopes of Burrow Hill.

The summit of the hill is crowned by an Iron Age fort known as Burrow Camp, which has spectacular views over the surrounding countryside.
It is accessible to visitors via a three-mile waymarked circular walk connected to the Shropshire Way, featuring mature trees and woodland.
I had spent the morning walking around Ludlow with my camera and it was good to escape the crowds and head for Hopesay Common, which is where I was standing for this shot.
The only sign of life was a red kite soaring high above me, so I sat down on the grass and took my time to just enjoy the view.
