Reflections on the iconic Iron Bridge
A perfect reflection - this shot of the Iron Bridge was taken from a few feet above the Severn with my new drone.

This was the first major bridge in the world to be made of cast iron, and was much celebrated owing to its use of the new material.
It has attracted tourists since it was built in 1779, and it remains an iconic and much-loved symbol of Britain’s industrial past.
Amazingly, it was almost sold for scrap in the 1960s, but its future was secured when it came under the guardianship of English Heritage and its predecessors.
As for me, I've been photographing Shropshire full-time for 14 years now, and it’s so refreshing to see familiar places from an entirely different perspective.

Here's another view taken that morning on what was a swelteringly hot day in Ironbridge.
It was a relief to get my pictures in the bag and head for home before the temperature really ramped up.
