Squeezing through the Eye of the Needle

There's a reason why the rocky crevice beneath the summit of the Wrekin is known as the Needle's Eye!

Folklore says that you can’t call yourself a true Salopian until you have made your way through what is an extremely narrow opening.

I attempted it for the first time yesterday and, as you can see, it’s a very tight fit.

You are faced with a steep drop on the other side, so it’s a case of turning round and coming back the same way.

Happy to call myself a real Shropshire lad after all these years!
